Solarsoft Releases Updated Software for Consumer Packaging Manufacturers

Vancouver, BC, Canada – March 18, 2010 Solarsoft Business Systems, a leading developer of core business software solutions for the packaging manufacturing industry worldwide, announced today a new software release for Solarsoft Accelerate™, a management information system specifically designed for folding carton, label, flexible packaging and rigid box manufacturers. This latest release incorporates a variety of new enhancements, including added functionality for ordering products through the Request for Quotation on-line module, and improved reporting for production efficiency analysis.

Accelerate release 4.07 also brings improvements to the shop floor data collection module. A wide range of documents, including PDF, Word, Excel spreadsheets and CAD files can now be attached to any production order, and presented to shop floor operatives on demand, ensuring that information is instantly available. To provide further efficiencies, operators can also now easily view a list of all the materials that have been issued to the component being run, and see where the stock is located. Raw materials inventory reporting has also been extended and can now provide on-line analysis of current and historic data.
